my internship with Universal Creative, the creative and innovative arm of Universal Parks & Resorts pushed me to experiment with and create new technologies and their in-park applications. I worked in the Advanced Technology Interactives (ATI) department on their Research and Development team. This team is dedicated to exploring emerging technologies for park experiences that may be implemented 3-5 years in the future. Due to the nature this team and its work, confidentiality is necessary, and I cannot speak to the projects that I worked on.
_projects
testing electronics/hardware: i initially worked on creating and testing electrical components and exploring their applications. Testing these devices relied heavily on knowledge of microcontrollers and circuitry. I looked at data and possibilities of scaling up small devices to more complex systems

assisting with emerging tech: i also had a hand in assisting with prototypes that utilized different Augmented Reality headsets and interactive experiences.

Universal Epic Universe
ideation/prototyping: i also was involved in the ideation and prototyping stages of identifying new technologies and implementations for the parks.

student initiatives: I was given a large amount of freedom to explore my own creative endeavors as well as teaming up with other interns in ATI to create novel interactive experiences. From these endeavors I successfully submitted a couple ideas to the patent process.
